Reviews should describe your experience with the destination itself.
Avoid reviewing:
Individual businesses
Hotels by name
Private individuals
Limited Mentions of Businesses
You may mention businesses (such as restaurants, tours, or services) as part of your travel experience. However, RateMyTravels is not a platform for reviewing or rating individual businesses. The platform focuses on destination experiences, not business reviews.
Do not:
Write reviews focused primarily on a business
Make factual claims about a business that you cannot verify.
Post defamatory, misleading, or promotional content about a business
Content that shifts from destination experience to business review may be removed.
While we value honesty, RateMyTravels is not a venue for legal disputes or accusations of criminal activity against businesses. Any review containing allegations of illegal acts, health code violations, or fraud—which cannot be independently verified by the platform—will be removed immediately to prevent defamatory liability.
3. No Personal Information
Do not include:
Phone numbers
Email addresses
Personal contact information
This protects both you and others.
4. Be Respectful
Reviews should remain respectful and constructive.

Hate speech
Harassment
Discriminatory language
Threats or abusive comments
5. No Promotional Content
The platform is not intended for user advertising.

Marketing messages
Sponsored reviews
6. Moderation
RateMyTravels may remove content that violates these guidelines.
Users who repeatedly violate these rules may have their accounts suspended.
7. Reporting Content
If you encounter a review that violates these guidelines, you may report it using the platform’s reporting feature.
Reports made through the platform's reporting feature are used to flag content for internal review based on these Guidelines . Because this feature does not allow for custom text input, it is not a substitute for formal legal or copyright notices.
